Site Guidance During the COVID-19 Emergency

This section supersedes the information below and must be followed during this difficult time.

Your departure must be no later than 10:00am to allow sufficient time for our Cottage Services Team to complete their work.
On your day of departure please strip your bed but leave the Mattress and Pillow protectors in place for our cleaning team to remove. Place the removed bedding and towels in the pillow cases then place these in the bathroom. Please note that this action is in place to protect our Cottage Services Team inline with mandated Government guidelines for safe working.
For the protection of yourselves and other guests please DO NOT bring any visitors onto our site.
Following government guidance the use of the Laundry has been restricted to enable Social Distancing to be adhered to. Please follow these rules as they are for the safety of ALL guests.
The playground equipment has been modified to help maintain Social Distancing.
Please make sure that Social Distancing is maintained at all times.
I would strongly suggest phoning or checking the website of any of the Eating Out places listed on our website to establish how they are currently working, some may only be providing take-away.
We currently only have one dog waste bin located at the entrance to the Cottage Courtyard. We strongly suggest that you use gloves to remove the bin lid or wash your hands thoroughly on return to your cottage.
Access to our House Courtyard is NOT permitted, see `issues` below for contact details.
Our Covid-19 Risk Assessment can be found on-line as part of our Cottage Booklet.
You MUST inform whomever you booked with immediately if you or any member of your party develop symptoms of Covid-19, or if you have been requested to isolate by the Government's `Track and Trace` team due to contact with someone else whom has now become infected.

Cottage Information

Bramble Cottage has its own private patio area for your use and a washing line situated on the lawn.The open sided barn at the top of the complex affords excellent views towards Widemouth Bay and Bude and, if the weather is with you, some spectacular sunsets. You will find on the Dining table a selection of Tourist Information leaflets and if you need more information this can be found in the Tourist Information office (single storey section of the white cottages as you enter the cottage courtyard. The Washing machine and Tumble dryer are also located in this building.

Bramble Cottage is electrically heated. The main living room has a storage radiator. If the temperature needs topping up in the evening, we also provide some plug-in heaters (bedroom heaters can be plugged in to the provided timers to switch on and off automatically throughout the day) You also have a wood burning stove, we have provided you with some logs, if you need more they are available from the local shop.The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath. There is a fan heater mounted on the wall. The towel rail is turned on in the bathroom cupboard , switches for the shower and hot water are also in the cupboard.

Dog Owners

Just a quick reminder that your dog(s) can NOT be left in the cottage un-attended at any time (this includes leaving your dog in a cage) but if you would like a day out or just part of the day out without your dog(s), we work with a local kennels www.breezelyn.co.uk to provide doggy-day-care. They are only 5 minutes away from us and all you need to provide is your pets vaccination certificate. Other guests whom have used these kennels have been very pleased with the service.

Please pick-up any mess made by your dog and place it in the Dog Waste bin next to the main gate into the cottage courtyard. You are welcome to walk your dog around the playing field and further into the bottom field.

WiFi Internet Access

Your On-Line Cottage Booklet contains details of how to log onto our WiFi service and your WiFi Login codes are printed on the card left on the dining table. You can access our website without completing the login process but it will only give access to our website. Please bear in mind that we area located in the countryside and the internet speed is somewhat slower than that achievable in towns and cities.

Rubbish

Your rubbish bins are located in the cottage courtyard, details of which rubbish goes in which bin can be found in this Cottage Booklet. A Dog Waste bin is also provided and is located to the left of the main gate into the cottage courtyard as you enter.

Finally

You are respectfully reminded that the latest check-out time is 10:00am on the day of departure. This is particularly important to allow our Cottage Services Team time to thoroughly clean the cottage ready for the next guest.
