Please ensure that cottages and cars are locked when left unattended.
Full details of the pool rules are on the cottage notice boards and on the entrance gate to the pool area. Please read and observe the rules for everyone’s safety and enjoyment of the pool area.
The Tourist Information Office is open at all times and contains a wealth of brochures with ideas of places to visit and things to do, together with a local map to guide you. Please switch off the light when you leave and close the door after you.
In addition to the many leaflets there is a coin operated washing machine and a coin operated tumble drier. Please ask if you need any assistance operating the equipment. Washing powder can be found in the cupboard to the left of the washing machine. There are two washing lines located behind the L shaped barn at the top of the drive and the pegs are with the washing powder. Each cottage has a laundry basket and there are ironing boards and irons available in the Tourist Information Office (although some cottages have their own). Please do not leave ironing in progress unattended at any time.
There are also some board games , books and magazines for your use.
We appreciate that while you are on holiday you may be visiting friends and family in the area. Whilst we have no objections to your friends and family coming onto our complex, please let us know for security and safety reasons. Please note visitors are not allowed to remain overnight.
There are barbecues in the L shaped barn for you to use (Charcoal can be bought from Whitstone local stores). Please ensure that they are not left unattended when in use and are left clean and tidy after use. Please empty any ash into the metal dustbin next to the L shaped barn.
The play area beside the yard is available for use by children and parents at all times. The equipment is however designed for children, and may not withstand the weight of an adult.
There are a selection of games and toys in the play barn together with bats, balls and other play equipment for use outside. Please do not allow the children to leave any toys or equipment outside the barn as they are inevitably found by the mower before me!
There is a tap located outside the Tourist Information Centre and a hose is available for your use to wash down cars, kids and pets after visiting the beach. However, our water supply is metered and in a dry year water resources can become stretched and should be used wisely. Please note that this facility will be will be withdrawn during a water shortage, thank you.
Please note that the towels provided are for use in the cottage only and must not be taken to the beach.
Each cottage has its own dustbin. When putting out rubbish please separate the recyclable parts and take them to the Recycling barn at the entrance to the cottage courtyard. See our section on Recycling for details of what can be recycled.
Please let us know if any breakages occur so that replacements can be sought both for your benefit and that of our next guests. Please ask if you are unsure how to use any of the equipment.
Waterproof mattress covers can be provided if required.
We think you will find the cottages have everything you need for your stay, however if you feel any other items would be useful, we would welcome your suggestion.
We respectfully request that you vacate your cottage by 10am on the day of your departure, to allow us sufficient time to prepare for our next guests.
Please try to leave the cottage clean and tidy. Please remove bedding (leaving the mattress cover and under pillow slips on), and place in the laundry basket.
